How to Make Homemade Ice Cream ala Wendy's Frosty!

Well, it's not really ice cream.
It's more like Wendy's Frosty, but believe me,  it sure does taste like the real thing!
Great thing about this is you get to add just the right amount of sugar. Whatever suits you.

Ingredients:
Hershey's Chocolate Syrup
Milk
Cream
Sugar
Rock Salt
Lots of Ice (1 bag of ice from 7-Eleven will do)

Utensils:
Large plastic ware
Small sized plastic ware enough to fit inside the large one.

Instructions:
Put ice at the bottom of the large plastic ware.
Sprinkle rock salt all over it, not all of it but just half of 1 cup.
Prepare the ice cream.
Squeeze the entire cream pack on the smaller plastic ware.
Pour the milk just the right amount will do.
Add a few tablespoons of sugar and mix in a little chocolate syrup.
You may adjust the sweetness according to your taste, or add in more syrup if you prefer.
I used a hand mixer to mix everything.
The cream is really hard to mix with the milk, you have to mix it real quick and with a bit of pressure.
I suggest you use a mixer or else you may end up with the whole thing splashed all over you. :)

Transfer back the mixed liquid to the small plastic ware.
As you can see, I positioned it already inside the bigger plastic ware as I poured it. Close the lid on it tightly.
Next is to add in more ice and salt.
Get ready to shake your booty.
Shake shake shake. Chill for a sec, the plastic is extremely cold. Relax. Add more ice. Shake shake shake.
5 to 10 minutes of shaking and you'll see the results. If not satisfied or too tired to shake, chill it in the fridge.

1 Order of Large Chocolate Frosty please!
Thank you very much!
It's sooooooo yum!

Recipe: Hungarian Sausage with Mushroom Sauce

I copied this recipe from my brother in law. (whom I think copied it from his brother, who copied it from their sister, who may have copied it from Martha Stewart...kidding..
I dunno know the origin really)
But now that we got that out of the way,
I will share with you how it is done so you can copy it from me.

Disclaimer: This is like "The Ring" where you need to make a copy of the tape and let someone watch it. In this case, you need to recreate the recipe, let someone eat it and have them recreate it for someone else to eat and so on...

We call it the Hungry Yan Sausage with Mushroom Sauce.

First thing you do is get some Fine Hungarian Sausage (Hungry Yan--hahaha)
and fry them to perfection.
Chop the sausage.
Cook some Cream of Mushroom sauce, I used the ready mix from Knorr.
(I forgot to add in real mushrooms, we'll do that next time)

Drown your Hungry Sausage :) with your Creamed Mushroom sauce
and prepare to be dazzled.

Now for the curse to get lifted, just recreate and serve.
Have the others do the same. Spread it and save yourselves!

The Easiest Recipe for Carbonara

I recall making Carbonara at home before and we ended up feeling so full, that we had to walk around the neighborhood afterwards to ease our stomach. Of course we waited a good 15-20 minutes before walking. I heard this makes a good exercise to lose weight.
Anyway, I didn't recreate the old Carbonara recipe I did way back which involved tons of butter and cheese (the ingredients itself are pretty heavy), all I did this time is to:

Buy a pack of Del Monte Carbonara (or you can buy any Easy to Cook Carbonara Mix) and
Fried some Chicken Fillets
Cook the Pasta and combine the Carbonara mix to complete the ensemble.
Add in Cheese and bit of BasilSalt n Pepper to taste, yumyum..
Voila' Instant Carbonara goodness..as easy as 1-2-3..

Recipe: Yummy Bistek

I am absolutely craving for a beef steak right now (Bistek, as we call it here).
It is one of my comfort foods like Sinigang, Adobong Manok, Tinola and Lugaw. All yummy.
Well I am not going to tease you any further, let me show you how it's done.

Ingredients:
1/2 kilo Beef (round, sirloin or tenderloin), sliced 1/4-inch thick
4 tbsp of kalamansi (native lemon) juice
1/4 cup Soy Sauce
Ground Pepper
1 tsp Minced Garlic
2 large Onions, cut into rings
2 tbsp Cooking oil

Directions:
Marinate Beef:
In a bowl, mix kalamansi (or lemon juice) and soy sauce.
Add beef, garlic and ground pepper.
Mix well. Let sit in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Cooking:
Heat oil in a skillet. Lightly fry the onion rings.
Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels. Keep warm.
Reheat oil until pan is very hot.
Pan-fry the beef slices in batches, removing them as they brown.
When all the beef has been cooked, pour the marinade into the skillet and boil for 1 minute.
Arrange beef slices on a plate and place the slightly fried onion rings on top.
Pour the sauce over the onions and beef. Serve at once.

You will instantly become a fan of this easy to cook and undoubtedly delicious recipe!

This is her signature style, presenting the ingredients as the "Cast of Characters"
Check out her main blog for the blow by blow instructions of this super duper yummy recipe!
